Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:

  • Online via Patient Access OR sign in to your NHS account. These accounts show you all your repeat medication and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.
  • By posting your prescription slip in the box provided outside the main entrance.

We do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone or email.

Dispensing

We are a dispensing practice and can dispense to all patients who live more than one mile from a pharmacy.

We can dispense private, hospital and dental prescriptions.

We require 5 working days’ notice before you can collect your dispensed medication to avoid disappointment and maintain patient safety.  Please bear this time scale in mind when ordering your medication.

Repeat prescription requests received after 1pm will not be processed until the next working day. Please allow 5 working days for prescriptions to be processed. Please also remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account when ordering medications.

Prescription collections are open from 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

We thank you for your cooperation.

Questions About your Prescription

If you have questions about your medicine please ask to speak to a member of the dispensary team.

The NHS website also has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to speak to a pharmacist or doctor at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
